Honor Guard

On May 20, honor guard teams got together at the yet-unfinished Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake to practice the rituals of military funerals. The cemetery, the first of its kind in Washington, will be the final resting place of many former service members who die of natural causes. But just in case the worst happens, the teams practiced the most elaborate ceremony which is reserved for an active duty soldier who dies in battle.
