MSUB Women's Basketball Program Scores Big in In-State Recruiting
Recruiting and signing in-state players has always been a challenge for the MSU-Billings women's basketball program. However, this off-season has been a little different for Head Coach Kevin Woodin and the yellowjackets. So far, Coach Woodin's incoming class consists of 6 in-state players who have already signed. Five of those players are members of the Montana All-Star Basketball Team. Three of the 6 comes from West High, 1 comes from Kalispell-Glacier and another one comes from Florence-Carlton. This class is a first for the school and the Lady Jacket program. Coach Woodin explained, "We're real excited, we've got seven freshmen coming in and as you said, three from West High and then Kali Gulick from Glacier and Danielle Zahn from Florence and we still have a couple others, Emma Blakely from Hellgate and Kate Samms from Central Valley in Spokane. We've covered all of the different positions which I like, as well, and it should be a fun group to coach."
