Bio: Considered the nation’s 27th-rated recruit and third-rated center coming out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, signing with LSU after receiving offers from Virginia, Louisville, Florida State, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio State and others. Was only Tigers player to start in all 34 games averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while playing 19.6 minutes per game. Had seven double-figure scoring efforts and one double-double against Northwestern State. Made 51% of his field goals and connected on five 3-pointers. Had three blocks in two games (Belmont, Kentucky).
So. Scouting report: Has an opportunity to crack Gonzaga’s frontcourt rotation and play a significant role against bigger frontcourts. Wasn’t a proficient rim protector at LSU playing in a defensive system that switched one through five, but is expected to be more of a shot-blocking presence at Gonzaga. Mainly a low-post player but spent summer fine-tuning perimeter shot after making 25% of his 3-point shots playing in the SEC.
