Down To Earth

Volunteers needed for tree potting

The Lands Council
needs your help. They received a surprise second delivery of over 1,400 seedlings last week and need more help planting seedlings into pots and arranging them into rows at their nursery site.  Below are some additional potting days from Kat Hall:

Tuesday, 4/19, 3-6 p.m.

Wednesday, 4/20, 3-6 p.m.

If there are still seedlings to pot (please call beforehand if you are planning to help out at these):

Monday, 4/25, 3-6 p.m.

Tuesday, 4/26, 3-6 p.m.

Please join us for as long as you like during any of these blocks of time, and feel free to bring friends,
family, etc.!

Our nursery is located at 8203 E. Fairview, Spokane Valley.  It is about a block from West Valley High School, and a ~15-minute drive from downtown.  Here are directions:

Take Trent Ave. east to Vista (Big R on corner).

Turn left (north) onto Vista.

Fairview is 6 blocks north on Vista. Turn left (west) onto Fairview.

You can see the trees/nursery and pots 2 houses down on the right (north) side of the road.

From I-90, take the Argonne exit north, turn left onto Trent, right onto Vista, and follow the rest of the directions above.

If you could let Kat know ahead of time when you are planning to come, that would be great!  209-2403; khall@landscouncil.org
