PUBLIC LANDS -- After reading the political cronyism of how Idaho secretly works to appoint federal judges, the public should be VERY careful in letting anyone erode or transfer federal oversight of federal public lands and the wildlife they support.

GOP presidential candidate Bush lays out public lands agenda
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was in Nevada on Wednesday where the Republican presidential hopeful said he would:

  • move the Interior Department to the West, since most of the federal lands are located there,
  • require the federal government to negotiate public lands issues as an equal partner to states, tribes, local governments and landowners,
  • put states first in managing wildlife,
  • speed up permitting processes for mining and logging.
