Baseball season begins in winter

I’m one of a dying breed who believes that every time has a season and that high school basketball and wrestling are winter sports. But there’s still a weekend of football to play and basketball has lapped back into November.

Prep baseball conversations are already beginning. Mike Peterson sent me this about area prospects as published by Baseball Northwest website.

He figured it would be something for you diamond junkies out there to chew on while you await March. The comments are his.

But here’s the deal. Given the inanities and downright nastiness on recent football and basketball sports I’m setting ground rules. Keep the conversation pertinent and inciteful, keep it civil and keep it clean. No bashing of individuals, no “my school’s better than yours” or I’m banning people from further participation.
