Ferris 14-0 at halftime

Well, Ferris' defense has done its job and is getting some help from the offense.

Linebacker Cole Lemer is having a fabulous game with an interception and a couple of knock downs.  And Riley Stockton recovered a fumble that thwarted a Skyline scoring attempt.

Lemer's interception set up the Saxons' first touchdown, a 17-yard pass from Ben Goodwin to Jordan Tonani, who beat arguably the state's best athlete, Kasen Williams, on the play.

Then Stockton hauled in a 17-yard TD pass from Goodwin, and Stockton beat Kasen Williams and another Spartans cornerback.

Skyline has 158 yards total offense. QB Max Browne 10 of 21 for 137 yards. Spartans have rushed for just 21 yards.

Ferris has 142 yards total offense. Goodwin has completed 7 of 13 for 46 yards. Saxons have rushed for 96.
