The Boise State Broncos roared to a 28-0 lead before the first quarter was over before taking a 38-0 lead at halftime over Idaho at a sold-out Kibbie Dome. BSU scored on a 76-yard punt return just 41 seconds into the game, then added another touchdown after Nathan Enderle's first of two interceptions.
The Broncos feasted on UI mistakes throughout the first half. Idaho had a punt blocked and a third-down stop wiped out by an Aaron Lavarias face mask on a sack of Kellen Moore. BSU went on to score a quick touchdown before the half to pad their lead.
