Johnson officially signs with Tampa Bay

The only Tuesday night home game of the season awaits the Spokane Chiefs, which probably means there will be a sparse crowd on hand to give Tyler Johnson a hand for his big news, signing with the Tampa Bay Lightning over the weekend.

Everett will be without goalie Kent Simpson tonight because of a sprained ankle. Simpson had turned into the Silvertips ironman recently.

By the way, next year's Subway Series against the Russians will be played in Regina and Moose Jaw. The games are in the middle of November.
