A lot to Dranginis’ game

Media day Monday and I checked in with versatile guard/wing/forward Kyle Dranginis.

I'm not much of a stat guy, but his numbers across the board are hard to ignore. He's earning big minutes with his ability to play several positions and fill up several columns on the stat sheet on a nightly basis. Watching replays of the Bay Area sweep last week, Dranginis also might lead the Zags in number of times his last name is mangled by TV announcers, though Drew Barham and Przemek Karnowski are strong contenders. By the way, it's "Dran-Guinness" (like the Irish beer).

Here's a link to my article on Dranginis that ran in Wednesday's S-R.

Back later with more on the Gonzaga-Portland matchup.
