Morning links: Marks reportedly returning to WSU

Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.com reports that Gabe Marks will return for his senior season because of an injury sustained in the Apple Cup.

Pauline's report says that a "significant ankle injury" will prevent Marks, who Pauline says was prepared to enter the NFL draft, from leaving school early because it is unlikely he would be healthy enough to work out for NFL teams prior to the draft. Connecting the dots, it seems we can rule out Marks playing in WSU's bowl game as well.

Speaking of bowl game, we'll have a better idea about WSU's destination after today's Pac-12 championship game. In today's paper we have a story about how the outcome will affect the Cougars. Here's a good preview of the game.

There's another big game for the Pac-12 today—Arizona's basketball game at Gonzaga.

And it's going to be a busy weekend here in Pullman, what with so many WSU football recruits in town.
