Nikki McFadden, right, checks out her new haircut from volunteer stylist Tosh Swain at the annual barbecue hosted by the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes on Tuesday in Spokane. The church fed the needy with barbecued hamburgers, and students from the Paul Mitchell school gave free haircuts. Those in attendance also could receive free veterinarian care for their pets.
