In this April 2011 photo, then-Spokane Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick, along with Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich and Spokane County Prosecutor Steve Tucker, next to Kirkpatrick, read the book “Officer Buckle and Gloria” to children at the YWCA’s Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program. The reading was to show support for lobbying efforts to keep that program and others like it from being cut at the state and federal levels.
