This summer, two new attractions are going to be added to many people’s “must do” lists at Silverwood Theme Park – the high-thrills SpinCycle, a 104-foot tall tower attached to a pendulum, and the Barnstormer, a family-friendly airplane ride.
To get people excited about both new rides, Silverwood and Spokane7.com are inviting the community to take part in a summer photo contest.
From now until Aug. 30, readers are invited to send us photos of either ride. It could be your friends or family riding either one, it could be you aboard, holding on super tight to your camera. It could be a cool scenic shot of either ride in motion.
We’re looking forward to plenty of photos in this gallery of people smiling and/or screaming. We’d also appreciate creative, fun poses, like maybe pretending to be absolutely calm while on Spin Cycle or absolutely terrified on the Barnstormer.
Even a less enjoyable experience can create a fun photo opportunity – if your little brother looks green around the gills after riding right after lunch, there’s no better way to share his misery than by posting his photo online!
Along with being immortalized in Spokane7.com’s photo galleries, judges from Silverwood Theme Park and Spokane 7/The Spokesman-Review will select our favorites. First place for each ride receives six daily passes into the park, second place receives four passes and third receives two passes.
Even better, as in past years, you may find your photo used in a billboard, brochure or promotional piece for Silverwood. Just be sure to check the opt-in box letting us know you’re OK with your likeness possibly being used in future park promotions. By entering this contest, you agree that the park has the right to consider using your photo for promotional purposes.
Photos can be uploaded through this site or emailed to email@example.com until 5 p.m. Aug. 30, 2013. Winners will be notified in early September.
