My daughter recently reminded that we have to try and photograph this year's snowflakes. We have been on a five-year quest to capture the winter flakes. We use a black knit hat, set them on the railing of our front porch and, with the help of a tripod and extension tubes, click the shutter of my DSLR camera. The quiet calm of Christmas morning gave us the perfect opportunity, and this photograph is one of the results - a tiny little winter wonderland. I'm guessing this snowflake is one or two millimeters wide.
