Although you may not think it, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” isn’t the only movie scheduled to open on Friday.

Oh, sure, the takeoff on the role-playing game will fill any number of screens at the area’s various theaters. But there should be room for another few films, at least two of which will be in a foreign language (and only one of which attracted an advance review).

Among the other scheduled openings:

“His Only Son”: Based on the story of Abraham, who according to the Bible was commanded by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac.

“A Thousand and One”: When single mother Inez (played by Teyana Taylor) steals her son from his foster family, she has to find a way to survive in New York City.

Variety's Jessica King wrote, "(Writer-director A.V.) Rockwell uses the full range of cinematic expressivity to turn a small, often tragic story of raw deals and rash decisions into an admiring portrait of survivorship, determination and resourcefulness."

“Spinning Gold”: Jeremy Jordan stars as Neil Bogart, the founder of Casablanca Records, which became one of the leading recording labels of the 1970s.

“Bholaa”: Just released from prison, Bholaa (played by Ajay Devgn) has to fight against a number of obstacles – including the threat of re-arrest – just to get home to visit his young daughter. In Hindi with English subtitles.

“Dasara”: Unjustly accused, the petty criminal Dharani (played by the actor Nani) sets out to do battle with the members of a rival gang. In Telegu with English subtitles.

Choices are great, right?
