Rivals for schools chief clash in Caldwell, they’ll debate in Boise today…
State schools superintendent candidates Jana Jones and Sherri Ybarra faced off in a lively debate last night in Caldwell; Idaho Education News reporter Clark Corbin has a full report here, including a fact-check that found each candidate misstated something during the debate. Idaho Statesman reporter Bill Roberts has a report on the debate here, and Idaho Press-Tribune reporter Kelcie Moseley has a report here. Both candidates were critical of big raises outgoing Superintendent Tom Luna recently gave staffers, some of whom then left the department.
Today, the two candidates will debate again – this time in Boise, at the Boise City Club.
