WINTERSPORTS -- "Summer is definitely gone now," says Cris Currie after exploring Mount Spokane State Park on cross-country skis today.

"There is good skiing and snowshoeing up the summit road in the CCC area. Snow depth is about 6 to 8 inches with more on the way!

"Today it was raining at the Lower Loop Road parking lot. Rain turned to snow about half way to the upper parking lot."
