Energy Assistance at Local Libraries
County Library and Community Action Center are partnering together to bring energy assistance to local towns around Whitman County. The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) offers a one-time payment to help qualified Whitman County residents make their energy bills more affordable. Programs have been scheduled on the following library branches, dates and times: May 16, Rosalia, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; May 23, Tekoa, 1:30-3 p.m.; June 5, LaCrosse, 1-3 p.m.; June 12, Colton, Noon-2 p.m.; and every Wednesday and Thursday at Colfax Council Aging Office (with appointment).
