Spokane British Brass Band
“Masters of Brass XVIII,” joining forces with the Eastern Washington University Symphonic Band featuring a fantastic Coeur d’Alene High School cornet player (Caden Davis) in ‘Carnival of Venice’ and his teacher (Jim Phillips) on a solo entitled ‘Charivari’ and they will combine forces on ‘Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto’. Anthony Achille, a Masters student at WSU, will be featured in a Celtic Euphonium solo entitled ‘The Green Hill.’ EWU will be performing Percy Grainger’s ‘Children’s March’, Eric Whitacre’s ‘October’, and Julie Giroux’s ‘Khan’. EWU will join with the SBBB in a rousing piece entitled ‘Helios’ by Jan Van der Roost.
