Baroque Series: A Festive Baroque Christmas
Dec. 9-10. The Spokane Symphony will relish some of the best-loved works from the Baroque period set in the splendor of Spokane’s historic churches. First, take a nostalgic trip to Christmas past and enjoy a selection of festive music, along with Handel’s stunning Royal Fireworks Music. Conducted by Eckart Preu; Mateusz Wolski and Amanda Howard-Phillips, violins. Two performances, Saturday at 7 p.m. at Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington St.; Sunday at 3 p.m. at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E 20th Ave., Spokane Valley.
