Baha’is Begin Bicentennial Observances
Baha’is of the Palouse region will begin commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Baha’u’llah, founder of the Bahá’í Faith, with a discussion at the Whitman County Library in Colfax at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 21. Dr. Peter Haug of Colfax will speak on “Hope for a Troubled World: A Bahá’í Perspective.” Although the talk will explore current issues facing humankind, it will emphasize what we can do to resolve them. The talk will discuss activities being initiated by individuals, communities, and institutions to move beyond the polarization that exists in our society and to create a unified global community.
