Valleyfest

Sept. 22-24. Annual community-wide celebration. The “Hearts of Gold” Parade kicks off Friday night at 7:30 p.m. along Sprague Avenue between Gillis and Perrine roads, following the Lions Club Bed Races. See classic cars, floats, school bands, community groups and live animals. On Saturday, enjoy a Pancake Breakfast from 6:30-10 a.m. at CenterPlace, then hot air balloons over Valleyfest on Saturday and 7 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. for the Night Glow, Fishing at the Falls, Valleyfest Car Show, Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk and over 200 booths to shop at and enjoy. Outdoor movie Saturday night showing of “Big Hero 6.” On Sunday, 6:45 a.m. Sunrise hot air balloon launch, take part in the Duathlon, 5K/10K Run for a Cause and the Family Bike Ride. Sunday is AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, which includes dog-oriented booths and demonstrations, along with more live entertainment and booths throughout the festival.
