Icon-Writing Retreat/Workshop

The retreat entitled, “Painting with the Light of God’s Glory” will be led by Fr. Damian Higgins, artist and Iconographer. Father Damian, Abbot of the Byzantine Holy Transfiguration Monastery, invites anyone (experienced and non-experienced) to participate in a week-long traditional Icon painting workshop/retreat. Each participant will have the opportunity to complete an icon on site in egg tempera that will be blessed at the end of the retreat. All supplies and materials will be provided by the instructor. Please wear comfortable clothing to this retreat. The cost of all materials is included. No prior art experience is needed; however, space is limited. $100 deposit for materials is required in advance. The retreat is $600 for five full days (includes materials).
