Mandala Sand Painting
Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a mandala out of sand. The opening ceremony begins at noon on Sept. 19 in the SCC Lair Student Center Building 6. The painting will continue on Sept. 20 and 21. Sept. 22, the painting will be completed between 9 and 10 a.m. During the closing ceremony at 11:30 a.m., the monks will walk to the Spokane River to pour the sand into the river.
