“The Threepenny Opera”
Nov. 10-12. Northwest Opera’s seventh season opens with “The Threepenny Opera,” written by Bertolt Brecht and music by Kurt Weill. Through the love story of Polly Peachum, this timely, sordid yet beautiful slice of London slum-life satirizes bourgeois society enhanced by plaintive, edgy, opera-meets-music hall melodies. Rated PG-13. Showtime is Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
