Liz Thomas will share her book, “Backpacker Long Trails: Mastering the Art of the Thru-Hike,” a guide to anyone interested in backpacking for several days or months. Thomas broke the women’s self-assisted speed record on the 2,181-mile long Appalachian Trail in 2011 and currently works as a staff outdoor writer at the New York Times.
