“Night of the Living Dead” 50th Anniversary

October 24, 2018 - October 25, 2018

In 1968, a small group of commercial filmmakers decided to take a chance making an independent horror film. It would later become a cult classic, grossing over 250 times its budget and creating the zombie film genre that is now a staple of modern cinema. The story follows seven people who become trapped in a rural farmhouse besieged by flesh-eating monsters. Directed, written, photographed and edited by George A. Romero. 86 minutes. Oct. 24 and 25, 7 and 10 p.m.
