Hillyard Senior Center Day Trip: Scenic Pend Oreille River Train
Have lunch together at Audrey’s (paid separately) and then head to the train station, leaving from historic Newport for a 24-mile round trip headed toward Dalkena, Wash. Trace the footsteps of early French traders on their way north to the Klondike gold rush, steamboat gamblers, loggers, miners, homesteaders and outlaws. Call to register. Pick-up from the center is at 10:15 a.m. with home pick-ups before.
