The Last Days of Pompeii
The MAC’s own Helen Campbell (only child of Amasa and Grace Campbell) saw the film “The Last Days of Pompeii” when it was released in 1913 and wrote in her journal that it was “quite good … the pictures of the eruption were wonderful.” Join for a special screening of this 1913 Italian silent film, which was directed by Mario Caserini and Eleuterio Rodolfi. Accompanied by live music, witness the story of a young woman caught in a deadly love triangle days before Mt. Vesuvius erupts and buries the city of Pompeii.
