Qu’est-ce que c’est?
This talk, led by Eastern Washington University Assistant Professor and Art Historian Dr. Catherine Girard, explores how French and European style influenced American design. Arguably the most recognizable room in the Museum’s historic Campbell House, the French Rococo-styled Formal Reception Room represents more than simply an adherence to the fashion tastes of the day. Join for this examination into the broader history of the Rococo style and its Americanized interpretations.
