Book Release Party: “Hezada! I Miss You”

From writer Erin Pringle, author of “The Whole World at Once” and “The Floating Order.” Her work has been selected as a Best American Notable Non-Required Reading, shortlisted for the Charles Pick Fellowship, and a finalist for contests such as the Austin Chronicle Short Story Contest and the Kore Press Short Fiction Award. She was awarded a Washington State Artist Trust Fellowship, and selected for performance by the New Short Fiction Series in L.A. She grew up in Casey, Illinois and now lives in Spokane. “Hezada! I Miss You” follows the last Midwestern traveling circus which is due to arrive in a rural village. Like the village, the circus is on its last leg. The story explores tradition, love, and suicide -set under the fading tents of small-town America and the circus. This event includes words by Barbara Williamson, a reading from the author, music from Neil Elwell, and a signing.
