Education: Graduated from Davenport High School in 2001. Earned an associate degree in dental assisting from Spokane Community College and a bachelor’s degree in history from Eastern Washington University. She also holds master’s degrees in business administration and public administration.
Work experience: Retired after 22 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserves, U.S. Air Force Reserves and Washington Air National Guard. She has held a variety of civilian jobs and currently is a floating office worker in various Providence Health Care clinics.
Political experience: Elected to the Airway Heights City Council in 2019 and re-elected in 2023.
Family: Single.
Campaign finance: Raised about $2,000 as of July 6, 2026, according to the PDC. Contributors include state Rep. Rob Chase.
Sarah Slater

Education: Earned GED from Columbia Basin College in 2002.
Work experience: Substitute teacher in the Cheney School District; managed the Absolute Aviation purchasing department from 2006 to 2009; has served as kids ministry director at Heights Church since 2016. President of the Sunset Elementary Parent Teacher Organization since 2017.
Political experience: First run for office.
Family: Married to Todd Slater. They have four children.

Education: Graduated from Cheney High School in 2014 and plans to attend Spokane Community College in the fall.
Work experience: Currently is a student but previously worked as a security guard at Securitas. Worked in sanitation at Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies.

Family: Single. His father, Steve Lawrence, is a member of the Airway Heights City Council and his mother, Charlotte Lawrence, is a former member.
