The Spokesman-Review Grocery Giveaway

The Spokesman-Review Grocery Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. The Grocery Giveaway is sponsored by The Spokesman-Review (The Sponsor or Sponsor). Employees, officers, directors and representatives of the Sponsor and their corporate affiliates, and those with whom such persons are domiciled, are not eligible. Void outside of the United States and where prohibited by law. The Grocery Giveaway is subject to all federal, Washington state and local laws.

Participants can enter once a week for the drawing by visiting and submitting an entry form at: https://www.spokesman.com/enter-to-win/100-dollar-grocery-store-gift-card/

The entry period of the Grocery Giveaway begins on 12/1/2023 and runs through 12/31/2023.

Entries that are late, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant for any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operations of the Grocery Giveaway. In the event the Grocery Giveaway is compromised by a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of The Sponsor, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Grocery Giveaway, The Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or terminate The Grocery Giveaway.

ELIGIBILITY: Any person 18 years of age or older, a resident of the United States and who submits an entry at https://www.spokesman.com/enter-to-win/100-dollar-grocery-store-gift-card/

PRIZE: A $100 gift card from a grocer advertiser in the Pinch publication. The retail value is $100. The winner will be responsible for all taxes associated with claiming the prize.

SELECTION OF PRIZE WINNER: The winner will be selected by random drawing conducted by The Sponsor from all eligible entries received on or before the entry deadline. No need to be present for the drawing.

Deadline for entry is 12/31/2023.

The prize drawing will be held the following Wednesday after the monthly deadline for the preceding month of entries.

The winner will be notified immediately after they have been selected as a winner.

The number of eligible entries will determine the odds of winning. A selected winner may be required to forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected in accordance with these Official Rules from among the remaining eligible entries for that prize if the selected winner (i) is unreachable, (ii) declines or cannot accept, receive, or use the prize for any reason, or (iii) fails to comply with these Official Rules.

Prizes will be mailed to the winners. Winners may have to sign for the receipt of the prize.

Winners first name and last initial may be published in the Pinch publication.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in the Grocery Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the sweepstakes administrators. By entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless The Sponsor and each of its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and marketing agencies and each of their respective employees, officers, shareholders, directors, representatives and agents, collectively, known as “Releasees”, from and against any claims, damages or liability involving or arising out of (i) late, lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone system, technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, transmission or other errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use or misuse of any prize or from participating in the Grocery Giveaway or any Grocery Giveaway related activity; or (v) any printing, distribution, typographical, administrative, human or technological errors involving or associated with the Grocery Giveaway.

The Sponsor is not liable for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in or accessing or downloading information in connection with the Grocery Giveaway. Entries that are late, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, false, unintelligible, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified.

Sponsor shall have no liability for any finalist or winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received for any reason. In Sponsor’s sole discretion, selected potential finalist or winner may be disqualified and required to forfeit the opportunity to participate further in the Grocery Giveaway and an alternate potential finalist or winner may be selected in accordance with these Official Rules from among the remaining eligible entries for any reason, including without limitation if a selected potential finalist or winner (i) is unreachable or notification is returned as undeliverable; (ii) declines or cannot accept the opportunity to participate further in The Grocery Giveaway for any reason; or (iii) fails to comply with these Official Rules.

All costs and expenses are not included and are the winners’ responsibilities unless indicated herein as being awarded. No transfer, substitution or cash equivalent of any prize element permitted. Elements of the prize may not be exchanged. Sponsor may substitute a prize (or a portion of a prize) with one of equal or greater retail value if a prize (or a portion of a prize) is unavailable or cannot be awarded for any reason. Winners will be responsible for reporting and payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with claiming these prizes. Consult your tax advisor regarding the tax implications of winning.

Sponsor reserves the right, to modify, cancel or suspend the Grocery Giveaway (or any portion of the Grocery Giveaway) should any virus, bug, computer problem or other cause or problem corrupt or inhibit the administration, security or proper operation of the Grocery Giveaway and, in such situation (or in the event of any type of error), to select the winners from eligible entries received prior to the action taken or in such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In no event will the Sponsor be liable for more than the stated number of prizes in these Official Rules. Entrants must have all necessary rights in their entries to submit them. Sponsor may prohibit entrant from participating in the Grocery Giveaway or winning a prize if, it determines the entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Grocery Giveaway by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor’s representatives. Releasees have not been made and/or are not responsible for any misrepresentation or guaranty, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prizes.
