Your Photos: Spokane Falls

When the water runs high over the Spokane Falls, the view is spectacular. Some proponents have argued that Avista Utilities should keep the river running at a high capacity year round to keep them looking nice. (The company was ordered in 2008 to keep the river at 300 cubic feet per second from 10 a.m. to a half-hour after sunset during the summer.) On Wednesday, stakeholders from different groups evaluated the falls as Avista adjusted the flow of the river, checking to see whether they could remain visually appealing at lower river levels (read the story).

But it doesn’t take an expert to know when the the falls look good: We want your photos. Upload using the form below, or email them to webteam@spokesman.com, and show off your favorite shots of the Spokane icon.

NOTE: Before photos show up in the reader photo gallery, they must be approved by an editor. If yours does not show up immediately, fear not. The only likely delay is that an editor has not had a chance to approve new photo submissions yet. Thanks for participating!
