Police detained a man who allegedly placed the flag after climbing on the roller coaster, which has been sitting on the ocean after part of the Funtown Pier was destroyed during Superstorm Sandy. Officials say the man came down from the top of the coaster and jumped into a police boat. He was handcuffed, walked through the surf and was escorted to a police car on the beach in Seaside Heights.
