Festival of Trees decorating was started at the Red Lion Inn Friday morning in preparation for Friday evening's benefit auction for the Valley Hospital Foundation. Bonnie and Ed Engel string lights on a project tree of the Valley Hospital Medical Center management team on December 1, 1988. When finished, the tree, with decorations and toys, was expected to have a value of $700.

Much of the area around the Valley's Red Lion Motor Inn is torn up for construction of a $2 million addition which will include 40 rooms, 1 750 seat ball room, three meeting rooms, covered walkways, new swimming pool, lobby and carport and various shops in June 1975. The Red Lion is its own general contractor and work on the newly renamed facility is expected to be completed by Nov 24.
