Garland Mural Painting
Westview Elementary School third graders and members of the Shadle Park High School Leadership Class gathered in the Garland District to create a alley wall mural, Friday, June 16, 2023, in Spokane. One end of the mural depicts a lone boy and is inspired from the story "Invisible Boy" by Trudy Ludwig. The story teaches how small acts of kindness may help children to feel included. The remaining mural show inclusiveness.

Artist Amber Hoit, left, thanks Westview Elementary School students Friday after they created a mural, along with Shadle Park High School Leadership Class members, on an alley wall in the Garland District.
