Summary

Michael Hannan's 23 points led the way for Central Valley in a 53-42 GSL win at Ferris on Friday. Max Sykes and Tanner Sloan added 11 points each for the Bears (7-2, 5-2), who got off to a bright start and led 30-15 at halftime.

The Saxons (3-5, 1-5) tried to rally in the second half and cut the lead to eight, but couldn't generate enough offense to do further damage. Mike Ervin led Ferris with 15 points and Murphy Butte contributed 12.

CV has now won three straight and sits one game back of league-leading Rogers. Ferris had their three-game winning streak snapped.
