Summary

In what turned out to be a pitcher's duel, Mt. Spokane scored three first-inning runs that proved to be enough in a 3-2 Greater Spokane League win over visiting North Central on Tuesday.

Kimber Tutt pitched a two-hit complete game for the Wildcats, allowing no earned runs and striking out four. Brooke Olson also threw a complete game for the Indians, holding the opponent scoreless after the first inning.

Mt. Spokane took advantage of two North Central errors in the bottom of the first inning, scoring three runs as part of a wild sequence. With runners on second and third, Jadeyn Cronn hit a ball that was misfielded by the shortstop, who then overthrew first base. On the play, Kyla Stern scored from third on a fielders choice RBI and Jolene House came around to score from second base on the throwing error. The final run came when Cronn scored on a Hannah Bell sacrifice fly.
