Summary

Jaya Allen drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the top of the seventh and worked out of a no-out, bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the inning as Shadle Park (14-1) took a big step toward the Greater Spokane League softball title with a 5-4 win at University (13-2). Shadle Park avenged a 9-7 loss from earlier in the season. The Highlanders broke to a 3-0 lead in the first inning with three singles and three University errors. Allen's sacrifice fly in the second boosted the lead to 4-0. The Titans tied the game in the second as Alex Surby had a two-out, three-run double and scored on Kirsten Anstrom's single. Both teams have three GSL games remaining.
