Summary

Lewis and Clark (16-4, 15-3) defeated Mead (10-11, 8-10) 69-58 to seal up the No. 2 spot in districts.

The Tigers jumped out to an early seven-point lead in the first quarter and pushed it to nine by halftime. The Panthers threatened to take the lead in the third quarter, going on a 8-0 run to start and half and cutting the lead to three. LC thwarted the comeback and coasted to a 11-point win.

Free throws were key down the stretch and Lewis and Clark capitalize. The Tigers were 21 of 31 from the line, while Mead struggled and was 11 of 22.

Isaiah Hernandez led the Tigers with 14 points. Naje' Smith added 12 and Dominick Oliveri chipped in 11.

Dedrick Pakootas posted a game-high 20 points for the Panthers on 8 of 12 shooting (4 of 7 from 3). Kobie Hanson also finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.

LC will host No. 3 seed Central Valley in the upcoming district playoffs. Mead's season is over.
