Summary

What happened:

Connor Coballes threw five strong innings allowing only three runs, just one of them earned, and picked up the win as the Bullpups (11-3, 9-3) defeated the visiting Saxons (7-7, 6-6) 5-3 on Tuesday. Coballes also smashed a double in the game.

After allowing a run in the first inning, Ferris scored two runs in the top of the second. Gonzaga Prep then answered back as Lucas Struck drove in two runs and Carsen Sayler drove in another. Ferris added another run to make it a one-run game, but Cole Earley shut the door in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the save.

Caleb Hill knocked three hits for Ferris including a double while driving in a run.
