What happened: Amanda Chan and Aaliyah Pauling scored 11 points apiece and Mead (14-7) defeated visiting University (11-10) 54-41 in Tuesday night’s 4A subregional play-in game.

U-Hi led 36-34 at the end of the third quarter after an 18-8 run but Mead started off the fourth with an 11-0 run and pulled away down the stretch.

Gracee Dwyer and Ellie Boni led University with nine points apiece.

Mead advances to play in the first round of regionals on Wednesday.
