Summary

What happened: Sheadon Byrd shot 7 for 8 from the floor for 15 points as he was the leading scorer for Gonzaga Prep (12-1, 10-1) as they defeated visiting Shadle Park (11-2, 9-2) 65-48 Friday night. Byrd also added three steals on the night. With the win, the Bullpups move into first place in the GSL standings and the Highlanders slide into second place.

With the score only differing by six at the end of the third quarter, the Bullpups went on a nice run led by a balanced offense to extend their lead. Also scoring in double digits for Gonzaga Prep were Sam Lockett with 13 points and Anton Watson with 12 points.

Andreas Brown and Markieth Brown both scored 12 points apiece for the Highlanders.
