Summary

Dakota Patchen scored 30 points, including seven 3-pointers, and Colton raced past Neah Bay 75-31 Thursday in the State 1B quarterfinals at the Spokane Arena.

Patchen finished one triple shy of tying the state tournament record of eight, set by Kailani Charley of Taholah in 2010.

Meghan Devorak chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats (22-2), who outrebounded Neah Bay 55-30 and shot 85% from the free-throw line. Colton will play Almira/Coulee-Hartilne in the semifinals as it seeks a ninth straight state crown.

Cei'J Gagnon led the Pirates (20-4) with seven points and six rebounds. Neah Bay will match up with Tacoma Baptist in a consolation game on Friday.
