Davenport fired off a 9-2 run from 5:02 to 1:05 in the fourth quarter, and the No. 7-seeded Gorillas upended No. 8-seeded Colfax, 56-50, in a state 2B girls quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at the Spokane Arena.

Three different Gorillas scored in double figures, led by Sydney Abbott 15. Lainy Jacobsen chipped in 14 on 5 of 6 shooting and Madison Abbott added 12.

Carmen Gfeller poured in 26 points on 10 of 19 shooting for the Bulldogs. Greta Geier added 10.
