Carmen Gfeller scored 22 points with 12 rebounds and the Bulldogs (20-6) beat top-seeded Dayton (19-4) 57-48 on Saturday in a 2B regional game at Richland HS. Colfax, which hit 22 of 27 from the line, advances to the second round of the State 2B tournament on Thursday at the Arena. Jenna Phillips tallied 21 points to lead Dayton.

Taylor Garcia scored 21 points, Carmen Gfeller added 15 points and Colfax (19-6) beat Liberty (20-5) 71-60 on Saturday in the District 7 2B third-place game at West Valley HS. Liberty led 14-4 after the first quarter but Colfax came roaring back with three consecutive 20-plus point quarters to advance to next week's regional tournament.
