Summary

What happened:

Jeremy Yelland threw six innings while only giving up one run and picked up the win as the Bears (1-1, 1-0) defeated the Bullpups at Gonzaga Prep (2-1, 0-1) on Tuesday 4-1. Yelland added a hit on the day as well.

Gonzaga Prep got out to an early lead, scoring a run in the bottom of the first inning. Seth Kuykendall kept the Central Valley scoreless until the third inning when the Bears plated three runs. Central Valley added another run in the seventh, and Alex Josquin shut the door for the save. Jase Edwards knocked his second double of the season and Kyle Lawson added a double as well.
