Summary

Katelyn Strauss smacked a two-run home run in the fourth inning and Ferris (4-5) edged Rogers (5-3) 9-8 in extra innings on Tuesday. Strauss finished with three RBIs and Gracey Lord had three hits for the Saxons.

Rogers got up early with a 5-0 lead, but Ferris exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the lead. But the Pirates didn't give up as they inched their way back with help from a home run by Ryan James. But, in the bottom of the eighth, Hayley Summers walked and moved to to second on a Gracey Lord single. Then, Tayler Hart drove a line drive that just got away from the left fielder, allowing Summers to score for a walk-off victory.

Jaeylin Snyder added four hits for the Pirates.
